Who or what is Northshore Shape Note?

Northshore Shape Note is not affiliated with any groups or institutions.  The primary organizers are local Louisiana New Orleans Northshore residents; music lovers who have had the opportuntity to travel and participate in several organized Sacred Harp Singings. Our hope is that this wonderful roots music tradition might once again find a home here in Louisiana, a place known for it's rich folk culture,heritage and passionate musical appreciation.

The Sacred Harp tradition is completely inclusive, non-denominational and open to everyone of all ages, experiences and backgrounds.
